SINGAPORE, 21 August, 2007 - Vital.org is honoured and proud to win the Honorable Mention Award for the Best New Shared Services Organisation (under 3 years in operation) at the Annual Shared Services Excellence Awards Ceremony (Asia Pacific) at the 10th Annual Shared Services Asia Summit 2007 held on 21 August 2007 at Raffles City Convention Centre, Singapore.
As the biggest and most prestigious event of its kind in Asia Pacific, the Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON)’s Shared Services Excellence Awards is established to honor, recognize and promote Shared Services Organizations (SSOs) that demonstrate true best practices. The Awards are the only globally recognised peer programme in the industry, providing a unique opportunity for companies to compete for the acknowledgement and respect of their competitors. To identify and assess these leading organizations, the Shared Services & Outsourcing Network has assembled a prestigious list of shared services experts and leaders to accurately and objectively evaluate the true effectiveness of top SSOs.
The panel of judges examined Vital.org’s design and start-up strategy, procedures and implementation; our competence in contributing to overall success of the organization; change management and communication strategies used and initial systems and process development; as well as our strategic plan for future development, and awarded us as the first runner-up! The other award categories included the “Best mature Shared Services Organisation (3+ years in operation)”, and “Shared Services Leader of the Year 2007”. The winners were:
