National Climate Change Secretariat engages Vital.org’s Travel Management offering

The National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS) was set up last month under PMO to look into global challenges concerning climate change and how they impact our local environment.  A lean and mean team which will expand, they are setting their eyes on learning best practices from other countries, and study tripsares already on the new Statutory Board’s cards. The newest agency to join the Vital.org’s client-agency family in the last three months, NCCS trails the last account agency of the Science Centre Board and the renewal of ASTAR.  With these agencies aboard Vital.org’s expansive portfolio, we have now crossed the 100th agency mark after 4 years since inception.  The Science Centre Board (SCB) has given a strong vote of confidence and endorsement on Vital.org’s committed service, by renewing another three-year subscription of over $223,000 for a full suite of asset management services till FY 2012.  This move will also make SCB one of the first to be onboard a more equitable, robust and effective pricing structure introduced by Vital.org. SCB has been one of Vital.org’s pioneer clients since the latter’s inception and has maintained very close ties with the asset management team of Finance Services.
Another new account seized is that of A*STAR, which has signed a Service Partnership Agreement to tap Vital.org’s one-stop centralised functions for resource maximization and cost effectiveness. Welcome aboard the Vital.org strong and high-performance customer base!

“The largest draw will be the corporate rates for airlines/hotels negotiated by Vital.org for their clients.  It is also administratively more efficient as there will not be a need to call for quotes and raise POs for every single trip required by procurement procedures. The suite of travel management services provided by Vital.org is quite comprehensive.  Additionally, the majority of public agencies have participated in Vital.org's travel programme and we have heard positive feedback from some of the participating agencies.  NCCS hopes that NCCS' partnership experience with Vital.org for travel management will be as fruitful.”

Also we have extended our existing agreement with PSD for the operation of the Mature Worker Database, Evergreen Connect till Dec 2010. Originally the due date for the existing agreement is June 2010. MHA-HQ had also engaged the Vital.org scholarship team to provide the administration of Home Award for the new cycle. This also includes the administering of payment of allowances for the existing students.  In March 2010, Vital.org’s scholarship team together with the Account Manager had met up again with MHQ and the Home Team representatives to further discuss on the scope, work flow of the processes and also confirming the baseline volume. The Account Manager has since provided MHA with proposed quote upon the receipt of the final confirmation of the revised scope of services.  The proposed processes to be handled by Vital.org’s scholarship team include security screening (SPF standard), medical screening, preparation of deed & deed signing, administering of monthly payments, study bonus and internship allowances for existing and new award recipients. Vital.org has since started rendering this range of service to the Home Team Departments.
